I Caved!

Days before leaving and everything just about ready, and still a million things left to do... And what do I do?  That's right, I went and bought yarn to work on a new project swirling around in my head.  Making flowers can only hold you over for so long.  And while I like dabbling and creating new things, like adding two concepts together like I did here:

One of my creations!
There just isn't anything like making something to add the accessories to.  Right now I am in the middle of working two different toddler tops.  One I found from a pattern that I have been dying to try.  The other is my variation on that pattern.  Neither are complete yet, the first because I decided I want to do the bottom part in a contrasting color.  The second, simply because I just haven't had the time to finish it up.  My hope is that before I leave Friday morning, that I can post pictures of both of the finished projects.

It's the little things!

So I found a small stash of scrap yarn last night, and decided to make some flowers.  These are fast and easy to make and I put them on my projects later on down the road.  Only had three colors though, green, pink, and red crochet thread.

I am anxiously awaiting a phone call for a phone interview for a job I applied for in San Antonio!  So hard to believe that in less than two weeks we will be saying good bye to San Diego!

Here is a video to some of my favorite flowers to make: (I know she is doing earrings, but I use the same pattern with yarn and a larger hook!  Works great for headbands and beanies.)

Going through Withdraws!

I haven't been able to crochet in about a week.  The ideas and temptations swirling around in my head are starting to make me twitch!  And my husband says I am addicted, HA!

We are packing up our things and the yarn and hooks were one of the first things to get boxed up for our upcoming move!  I have a few stashed out in the car for when I am at work, however it's been crazy and I just haven't had the time!

I recently watched a new tutorial from a lady that lives in our area, Yolanda, she is awesome.  Her Little Red Riding Hood cape-let seems amazingly simple and absolutely beautiful!  For anyone wishing to see the tutorial, here is the video:

Just a little under two weeks until we are in San Antonio, and then I can decide if I want to start a new project, or work on one of the zillion I have already started!
